I am so honored to be a part of making a tribute song to Tinariwen on their journey to Winston-Salem. This song is about love of our desert, love of our home, love of unity. Deserts hold the raw materials of all life. We all come from the desert. We all come from love. We are all one.
John Daniel Ray of Mr. Haircut (
www.mrhaircut.org) made this video recording possible on very short notice and very little sleep. Thank you immensely to John, Kevin Beck, and Ryan MacLeod for their beautiful interpretation of this song. We are all so proud of it.
I want to especially thank Andy Tennille and Richard Emmett at The Ramkat for bringing our town together through this project. We are so honored and inspired.
